ANZAC DAY WEEKEND

The Camberwell Basketball Association have put a lot of thought into how to best combat the Labour Day weekend impact on continued participation. As a general overarching rule, we do not fixture games on public holidays (or long weekends). This three day break comes in the first week of the term, which hasnt happened in the past 20 years, and thus created a unique situaion with reference to the schedule and calendar options. Through the planning process the clubs (Titans included) surveyed the team managers on the interest in playing on a public holiday weekend, which was met with mixed outcomes.

The result of all that work. is that there will be a fixtured 'opt in' round available for that weekend. Teams that do not wish to play, will have the option of an early opt out (with no extra cost), and those that are around, can participate in games for an extra grading opportunity.
There will be an early opt out window made available to teams to assist with league logistics around that weekend. And post that timeline, regular forfeit fine structures will come into play.
